What does it take?

It takes a huge amount of personal and organizational commitment to maintain a Grade 1 pipe band. There are only three active Grade 1 pipe bands in Canada at this time, and the 78th Highlanders (Halifax Citadel) finds itself needing to travel a significant distance just to compete against another band.

As a registered charity, we are able to receive donations and offer income tax receipts. YOU can play a significant role in developing and maintaining a world-class band in the Halifax region.
